Pensacola Pizza Recognized on a National Stage

Lucky Dough Pizza has been recognized by 50 Top Pizza, one of the world’s most respected and internationally recognized pizza guides.

50 Top Pizza was established by Italian food experts Barbara Guerra, Luciano Pignataro, and Albert Sapere to highlight exceptional pizzerias. Since launching its first guide in 2017, the organization has expanded internationally, using anonymous inspections and evaluations to identify the world's best pizzerias. The U.S. rankings were introduced in 2021.

With more than 75,000 pizzerias across the United States being evaluated, we are honored to be recognized among the nation's best and to have earned the #50 ranking in the country.

From Farmers Market Beginnings to National Recognition

Founded by self-taught pizzaiolo Arpan Patel, Lucky Dough Pizza began as a small setup at Pensacola’s Palafox Market before growing into a destination for naturally leavened, wood-fired Pizza Napoletana.

Unlike many nationally recognized pizzerias operating in highly controlled environments, Lucky Dough prepares and bakes pizza outdoors in the challenging Florida climate using traditional wood-fired brick ovens imported from Italy.

The recognition highlights both the craftsmanship behind the pizza and the growing culinary culture of Pensacola, Florida.
